BettaBerries™ is a potent formulation of nutrient and antioxidant-rich fruits and berries including tropical acai, Chinese goji, Brazilian jabauticaba, South American macqui and South East Asian mangosteen, with plant polyphenols, such as resveratrol and anthocyanins, to help fight and prevent age- or environmental-related skin damage. This berry blend contains the equivalent of 7kg of fresh fruit in just 100g of powder.

Amla and acerola fruits are one of the highest and most concentrated sources of vitamin C. Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an essential micronutrient and potent antioxidant which defends against oxidative damage, and also plays an important role in the gene expression of collagen synthesis for firm and youthful skin. The consumption of just three fruit units of acerola per day meets the recommended adult dietary allowance of vitamin C. Additionally, amla has been used for more than 3000 years in India, and according to Ayurvedic principles, regular consumption is used to help support and defend against cellular ageing and deterioration. Research has also found that Amla paired alongside collagen peptides, as well as acerola, (as they are in Skin Hydration Elixir) is successful in reducing skin dehydration and wrinkles caused by UVB-induced photoaging alongside hyperpigmentation within in vivo studies.

Deep and strongly pigmented fruits and berries including acai, macqui, jabuticaba, cranberry, strawberry and pomegranate are coloured by plant polyphenols, especially anthocyanins, which have been shown to have antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties, such as in acai and cranberry. Resveratrol, another plant polyphenol, is typically used topically, however research has demonstrated it supports an increased antioxidant activity when consumed. Additionally, macqui berry is the richest natural source of this delphinidin. Clinical research indicates that delphiniden is the most potent antioxidant anthocyanin species, and is successful in improving collagen production, skin brightness, facial redness, and skin tone.

Gojii berries are also high in polyphenols and are an especially great source of carotenoids such as beta-carotene and zeaxanthin. They also contain nourishing fatty acids, which work to strengthen and protect the skin barrier. This potent blend of natural antioxidants also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties to help alleviate skin concerns such as acne and breakouts.
