About
Research has demonstrated that consumption of Lion’s Mane has many brain supporting benefits including reducing mild symptoms of depression and anxiety and even helping to protect against dementia. It has strong inflammation modulating, antioxidant and immune enhancing abilities.
In two human studies, consumption of Lion’s Mane showed significant improvement in cognitive function scale and significant improvement in anxiety and depression scores.
Lion’s Mane contains nootropic compounds that can cross the blood-brain barrier and penetrate the brain. They can stimulate the synthesis of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) which in turn stimulates the growth, normal functioning and repair of neurons, the nerve cells that are the building blocks of our brain and nervous system. It shows great promise for the treatment of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, but also amongst the general population for optimal brain health.
